The tour format "Canada Edition" is a new format since 2014 and is planned in two parts that can be combined:

  1. Canoe Tour: the first part of the journey is a tour by canoe Kanutour
  on a contributary river of the Yukon River. Depending on the water level

  and experience of the participants this is either the
  Teslin River (with beginners only) or the Big Salmon River (if there are
  experienced canoe drivers in each of the boats). Duration: ca. 10-11 days with

Bergtour  2. Mountain Tour: the second part of the journey is a mountain hike
  onto ca. 2.000 meters hight (ca. 1.300 meters of altitude - no climbing!)
  in the Kluane National Parc face to face to the St. Elias Mountains (up to 6.000 m high).
  We walk from the Sheep Visitor Center to the Observation Mountain.
  Duration: ca. 5-6 days with a day of rest at the end.

At the end of the tour we will spend the evening in Whitehorse and we will experience something of the gold rush & pub atmosphere before we fly home the next day!

Arrival day: We will be picked up from the International Airport Whitehorse by our outfitter. We will be shopping for food and missing equipment in Whitehorse. We will also stay overnight at Whitehorse.

Comment: Participants who do not take part in the canoe tour and come to the group will be picked up at the 12. or 13. day of the canoe tour from the International Airport Whitehorse. Staying overnight at Whitehorse.

1. Day afterwards: transfer by our outfitter to Quiet Lake. Warm-up paddling on a half day tour! Staying overnight at Sandy Lake or Big Salmon Lake.

1. Day afterwards: transfer to Kluane National Parc, day of rest and staying overnight at the camping site.

2. Day afterwards: Full paddel day (with breaks in between)

3. Day afterwards: 2/3 hiking day (with breaks in between)

 In the forefront of the tour there will be 1-2 canoe test tours on easy white water! The appointments will be arranged in the forefront of the tour.
